Map out the SATA Power Connections

 
 
Before you proceed, it is a good idea to map out how you are going to connect the 7 SATA devices using the two 4-connector SATA power cables.
 
 
You have 7 SATA devices:
 
  • Samsung 850 PRO SSD
 
  • Samsung 850 EVO SSD
 
  • Western Digital Hard Drive HD1
 
  • Western Digital Hard Drive HD2
 
  • Western Digital Hard Drive HD3
 
  • ASUS DVD Burner
 
  • LG Blu-ray Burner
 
You are going to use the first cable to connect the 2 SSD drives, and the two Hard Drives HD2, and HD3.
 
 
You are going to use the second cable to connect the DVD burner, Blu-ray burner, and the top Hard Drive HD1.
 
 
With this game plan in mind, it is a good idea to label these two SATA power cables.
