Unbox the Blu-ray Burner

Unbox the LG Blu-ray Burner Model WH16NS40

Front Face

The Front Face features the Blu-ray Disc Tray, Activity Light, Eject button, and Force Eject pin hole.

Back Face

The back face has a 15-Pin SATA Power Port and a 7-Pin SATA Data Port.

The Power and Data Ports are arranged side by side, with the larger Power Port on the left, and the smaller Data Port on the right.

Notice how the SATA Power and Data Ports are shaped like an L.

This has been designed intentionally to prevent you from inserting the SATA cable into the SATA Port the wrong way.

Examine one of your SATA Power cables.

Notice how the connectors have an L-Shape.

Whenever you connect a SATA Cable to a SATA Port, look at the orientation of this L-Shape to guide you as to how the cable should be inserted.

You cannot force it the wrong way.

You will be stacking the ASUS DVD Burner on top of the LG Blu-ray Burner.

You will be using one of the modular SATA power cables to daisy chain the drives.
